Rose Bolton | “The Lost Clock” | Cassauna / Important Records | 2021

Rose Bolton is a composer with over two decades of career who works on ensemble music and scores for documentary films and presentations in different types of art. Bolton variously plays electronics, violin and viola.

"Unsettled Souls" unfolds almost imperceptibly an ambient zone where emerge bright timbres, while in the track that gives title to the album, electronic textures are combined with soft driving rhythms that achieve great intensity with synthetic noise. "Starless Night" produces intriguing soundscapes with blurry and dense atmospheres. "The Heaven Mirror" continues on this stealthy journey as the bells erupt around its darkened edges.
