David Strother violinista eléctrico/compositor/escultor de sonido del sur de California, en tanto que Michael Gayle es guitarrista, compositor, productor e ingeniero residente en Los Ángeles, California. Ambos tienen varios discos publicados. Strother ha compuesto parte de la música la película independiente “Daughter”, dirigida por Corey Deshon que se proyectó recientemente en Cannes y que se estrenará en el otoño boreal. Así también su composición “Almaraz” forma parte de la banda sonora del documental “Carlos Almaraz: Playing With Fire” (artista mexicano-americano), lanzado a nivel mundial en 2019 y agregado a Netflix en octubre de 2020. David también contribuyó con su música para los discos publicado en 2020, "Fur Immer" y "Vermacht" del músico alemán Morgen Wurde. Toca regularmente con la banda psicodélica Haywire y recientemente ha tocado con la grupo progresivo/fusión, Stratos Ensemble. “Town on the Edge of Darkness” abre este disco con un rock atmosférico que genera ambientes inquietantes, en especial por las deslizantes y temblorosas notas del violín y los suaves acordes de la guitarra. “The Dream of Silence” se mueve por las tranquilas aguas del ambient, donde las densas texturas electrónicas forman parte de un loop que sirve como telón de fondo

Destaca el punteo de guitarra en la última canción de este álbum, “106° (Spirits Returning)!,” por la forma en cómo flirtea con el blues mientras experimenta con la guitarra, creando así un lenguaje propio, mientras el violín dialoga con las altas notas.

“Valaho” (al parecer es una calle en Los Ángeles) es una colección de piezas cuya atmósfera se adaptaría bien a la banda sonora de una versión cinematográfica.

David Strother is an electric violinist/songwriter/sound sculptor from Southern California, whereas Michael Gayle is a guitarist, songwriter, producer and engineer based in Los Angeles, California. They both have several albums released. Strother has composed part of the music for the director Corey Deshon’s independent film “Daughter,” recently screened at Cannes and is set for release this fall. His composition “Almaraz” is also part of the soundtrack of the documentary “Carlos Almaraz: Playing With Fire” (Mexican-American artist), released worldwide in 2019 and added to Netflix in October 2020. David also contributed his music for the albums released in 2020, "Fur Immer" and "Vermacht", by German musician Morgen Wurde. He regularly plays with the psychedelic band Haywire and has recently played with the progressive/fusion group, Stratos Ensemble. “Town on the Edge of Darkness” opens this album with an atmospheric rock that unfurls disquieting atmospheres, especially due to the sliding and trembling violin notes and the soft guitar chords. “The Dream of Silence” moves through the calm waters of ambient, where the dense electronic textures are part of a loop that serves as a backdrop.

Highlights the guitar pluck on the last song of this album, “106 ° (Spirits Returning)!,” for the way he flirts with blues while experimenting with the guitar, thus creating a language of his own, while the violin dialogues with the high notes.

“Valaho” (apparently a street in Los Angeles) is a collection of pieces whose atmosphere would be well suited to soundtrack a film version.
