Este es el proyecto del músico ingles Daniel W J Mackenzie quien reside en Brighton quien desde 2002 tiene 12 discos como Ekca Liena. ‘Downer Supine’ es un viaje de tres temas que nos propone Mackenzie que construye a base de guitarra eléctrica, piano, voz, sintetizadores que conforma una gruesa capa de sonidos. ‘Icenode’ sugiere ambientes planeadores - que me evocan las atmósferas de Rapoon (aka Robin Storey) – que van desapareciendo con sutiles notas de teclado que continúan con el segundo tema ‘Downer Supine’ al que lentamente se incorporan líneas de sintetizador algo saturadas. ‘Landing’ comienza con un loop que está como fondo a un intenso efecto de guitarra que esparce drones con atisbos melódicos. ‘Downer Supine’ ofrece paisajes sonoros que sugiere imágenes abstractas e inquietantes. http://ekca-liena.co.uk Guillermo Escudero Febrero 2012		This is the project of Brighton based artist Daniel WJ Mackenzie who since 2008 has released 12 records as Ekca Liena. 'Downer Supine' consist in three tracks in which Mackenzie plays electric guitar, piano, voice and synthesizers giving shape to thick layers of sound. 'Icenode' suggests glider environments - evoking the atmospheres made by Rapoon (aka Robin Storey) - that disappear with subtle notes of keyboard that continue in the second track 'Downer Supine' that slowly incorporate some saturated synth lines. 'Landing' begins with a loop that is the background to intense guitar effects that spreads with a hint melodic drones.
