Kevin Micha residente en Boston es el hombre detrás Animal Hospital quien partió por sí solo en 2004, después de ser parte del grupo The Common Cold de la misma ciudad.
Micha produce un poderoso sonido tanto en los momentos calmos como inquietantes con un puñado de dispositivos electrónicos, batería, guitarra, voz y cajas de música.
La música comienza lenta, guitarras deslizantes sobrevienen y se extienden en infinitos delays.
Micha crea paisajes sonoros con su arsenal de efectos especialmente con las guitarras, en tanto que filudos riffs irrumpen el ambiente que se despliega. La sección de batería acompaña con sus pesados ritmos 4x4 que salpica por todo el espacio.
Los seductores psicodélicos “A Safe Place” y “Memory” me recuerdan gratamente la atmósfera de “Ummagumma” de Pink Floyd, quizáz por sus suaves melodías.
“Memory” tiene una interesante intimidad a explorar y para encantarse. Una nueva escucha es siempre necesaria para coger detalles que parecen estar escondidos en el fondo.

Boston based Kevin Micha is the artist behind Animal Hospital who started by his own in 2004, after being a member of the band The Common Cold from the same city.
Micha produced a powerful sound both in the quiet and disquieting moments with a bunch of electronic devices, drums, guitar, vocals and music boxes.
The music starts slowly, slide guitar overcomes and extends with the endlessly delays.
Micha creates soundscapes out of his arsenal of effects specially on the guitar; while edgy guitar riffs invade the ambience unfolds. The drum section accompanies with its heavy 4x4 beats and splashes all over the space.
The seductive psychy “A Safe Place” and “Memory” reminds me of Pink Floyd’s “Ummagumma” atmosphere perhaps because of its soft melody.
“Memory” has an amazing intimacy to explore and to be enchanted with. A new listening is necessary to pick up details that look hidden in the background.
