Adam Forkner reside en Portland, Oregon y ha estado activo desde 2003 editando cuatro álbumes en sellos indies como su ex Yarnlazer sello de CD-R conducido junto a Honey Owens aka Valet [aparentemente fuera de operaciones], además varias apariciones en compilados.
También él ha estado alrededor de varias actividades musicales como la gira junto a Valet y Atlas Sound, tocando en el mismo cartel con Windy & Carl y Nudge y terminando ahora de abrir a Deerhunter/No Age/Dan Deacon en su tour.
Su último álbum “Prism Of Eternal Now” [Kranky, 2007] precede “New Clouds” donde Forkner mezcla viñetas sicodélicas y composiciones ambientales.
Este álbum consiste en cuatro largos cortes, abriendo con “Tuesday Rollers and Strollers” que temina luego de largos 18 minutos con la aterciopelada voz de Forkner envuelta en un loop que parece eterno.
“Mayor Spillage” comienza con suaves acordes de guitarra eléctrica y nuevamente Forkner musita bellos coros. El viaje continua con “All the Boogies in the World” que entrega una sección rítmica hipnótica y drones floreciendo un ambient bucólico.
El tema que cierra el disco “Monday Boogies Forward Forever” muestra un diálogo de guitarras sintetizadas que se van en fade-out lento y silenciosamente hasta terminar así el viaje sicodélico.

Adam Forkner is based in Portland, Oregon and has been active since 2003 releasing four albums in independent labels like the ex- Yarnlazer CD-R label run along with Honey Owens aka Valet [apparently out of operations now], plus several compilation appearances.
Also he has been around many musical activities like touring with Valet and Atlas Sound, playing in the same bill with Windy & Carl and Nudge and recently finished up opening duties for the Deerhunter/No Age/Dan Deacon tour.
His last album “Prism Of Eternal Now” [Kranky, 2007] precedes “New Clouds” in which Forkner blends psychedelic vignettes and ambient compositions.
This album consists in four lengthy tracks, opening with “Tuesday Rollers and Strollers” which lasts after 18 minutes with a Forkner’s velvet voice into a loop that seems endlessly.
“Mayor Spillage” starts with a soft electric guitar chord and again Forkner’s mumbling sweet chorus. The trip continuous with “All the Boogies in the World” that delivers a hypnotic rhythm section and drones flourish pastoral ambient sensibilities.
The track that close the album “Monday Boogies Forward Forever” show a dialogue of a synthesize guitar that goes fade out very slowly and quietly till ends the psychedelic trip.
