Esta es una nueva producción de la serie ‘Field Recordings’ de este sello alemán.
Sebastiane Hegarty es un artista, escritor y conferencista que tiene una interesante declaración: "caminar y escuchar se han convertido en socios en el proceso de composición. Sin embargo, mi caminar, al igual que mi escucha, tiene la tendencia a divagar". Y claro, un artista que tiene como base creativa la naturaleza y el tiempo e interés en investigar el tiempo, el lugar y las sensaciones que producen, desarrolla una aguda escucha que asocia a ciertas emociones.
Otro tema interesante para Hagarty es la ecología acústica y la percepción del sonido y la audición según la geografía de los lugares, a través de las grabaciones de campo y la composición de paisajes sonoros.
'Winchester Cathedral' es una grabación que se realiza en la bella catedral gótica en Hampshire, Inglaterra. El ambiente sonoro registra la apertura de la reja de la catedral y lo que será el ensayo de una orquesta previo a un concierto. 'Hengistbury Head' es un cabo de piedra arenisca que forma parte de Southbourne, la parte más oriental del municipio de Bournemouth, Dorset y es allí donde Hegarty registra la naturaleza del lugar, el agua, las aves, el motor de un camión, entre otros. Hamble-le-Rice es una aldea en el municipio de Eastleigh en Hampshire, Reino Unido. En este lugar la grabación de campo registra sonidos que están muy cercanos como otros que se encuentran lejos: niños jugando, aves, el crujido de puertas y objetos metálicos, el motor de un vehículo. 'HMS Victory' es un navío de la Armada Real, establecido en 1759 y lanzado en 1765. Aquí se escuchan las aves que circundan este navío, niños, gente caminando. 'Watercress Line' es el nombre comercial de la región central de Hants Railway, un patrimonio ferroviario en Hampshire. Los ruidos de un tren pasando por la línea ferrea y gente conversando es el ambiente sonoro de este tema. 'Abbotsbury Swannery' es la única colonia en el mundo de anidación de cisnes mudos. Está situado cerca del pueblo de Abbotsbury, Dorset. Los pasos de una persona, agua y el canto de los cisnes es el registro sonoro. 'Lymington Ferry' es una ruta para vehículos a la Isla de Wight que se encuentra entre Lymington, en el New Forest y Yarmouth en West Wight. Se aprecian ruidos de este ferry en marcha, voces por altoparlante y agua. Winnall Moors es un área de la llanura de inundación del río Itchen, inmediatamente al norte del centro de la ciudad de Winchester. Hegarty registra en este último tema la rica flora y fauna de esta reserva natural.
'Southerlies' es un viaje a distintos lugares de Inglaterra en las que Hegarty captura las distintas geografías y sus sonidos tanto naturales como hechos por el hombre.

This a new release of the 'Field Recordings' series of this German label.
Sebastiane Hegarty is an artist, writer and lecturer who has an interesting statement: 'walking and listening have become partners in the process of composition. Yet my walk, as my listening tends to wander'. And of course, an artist whose creative process is based in nature and time and his interest in doing research about time, place and the sensations they produce, develops a keen listening associating to certain emotions.
Another interesting issue is Hagarty's on acoustic ecology and the perceptual geographies of sound and audition, through field recordings and soundscape composition.
'Winchester Cathedral' is a recording that takes place in this beautiful Gothic cathedral in Hampshire, England.
Hengistbury Head is a sandstone headland which forms part of Southbourne, the most easterly part of the Borough of Bournemouth, Dorset. Hamble-le-Rice is a village in the Borough of Eastleigh in Hampshire. HMS Victory is a ship of the Royal Navy, laid down in 1759 and launched in 1765. Here it can be hear the birds that surround this ship, children, people walking.
The Watercress Line is the marketing name of the Mid-Hants Railway, a heritage railway in Hampshire. The sounds of a train passing through the railway and people talking is the sound environment of this track. 'Abbotsbury Swannery' is the only managed colony of nesting mute swans in the world. It is situated near the village of Abbotsbury in Dorset. 'Lymington Ferry' is a route for vehicles to the Isle of Wight which is between Lymington, in the New Forest and Yarmouth in West Wight. The noise captures the running ferry, speaker voices and water.
Winnall Moors is an area of the flood plain of the River Itchen, immediately to the north of Winchester city centre. Hegarty recorded in this last track the rich flora and fauna of this natural reserve.
'Southerlies' is a trip to various places in England in which Hegarty captures the different geographies and sounds both natural and manmade.
