Esta banda de synth-doom de San Francisco incluye miembros de Common Eider, King Eider, A Minor Forest, I Am Spoonbender y Never Knows y la componen Connors and Marc Kate quienes tocan los sintetizadores y batería. El dúo hace hincapié que en este disco nos hay guitarras y es que los sintetizadores producen ruidos chirriantes y demoledores, con bajos profundos y una percusión aplastante. Uno de mis favoritos es “The Metaphysical Swindle” con su sonido tubular como si fuera a perforar una roca dura. Detrás de esa muralla de ruido se esconde una suerte de melodía épica y una crítica a las corrientes metafísicas que pululan por ahí. Después de la tensión y potencia sonora, “Shallow Breath, Slight & Tenuous” y “The Nameless Choir” se esparcen en un ambiente tranquilo, aunque a través de inquietantes atmósferas. The San Francisco synth-doom band includes members of Common Eider, King Eider, A Minor Forest, I Am Spoonbender and Never Knows and is made up of Connors and Marc Kate who play synths and drums. The duo emphasizes that there are no guitars on this album and is that synthesizers produce squeaky and smashing noises, with deep bass and crushing percussion. One of my favorites is “The Metaphysical Swindle” with its tubular sound like it's going to pierce through a hard rock. Behind that wall of noise hides a kind of epic melody and a critique of the metaphysical currents that swarm over there. After the tension and sound power, “Shallow Breath, Slight & Tenuous” and “The Nameless Choir” spread out in a calm environment, albeit through disturbing atmospheres.
