How many butter molds, stamps or prints can you acquire? As many as you want because the variety of designs and sizes available are just too tempting to pass up! If you favor wooden butter molds this great piece may be something to consider as the pineapple and leaf design presents a hint of folk art and is also very p.

This round, plunger mold that dates to the last quarter of the 19th century is a large size and will definitely get attention as it can be displayed all by itself. The welcoming pineapple design flanked by two opposing leaves was intricately carved and the warm surface confirms this mold was fashioned from maple. Gentle whispers of “birds eye” maple that randomly appear on the sides of this mold are an exciting feature as shown in the first and fourth image.

There is one very small, tight hairline crack that starts at the top and cascades down toward the side about one inch from the bottom as shown in image 3. Dark areas are also present and appear randomly sprinkled throughout the sides and on the handle as shown in images 1, 2, 4 & 7. Two tiny chips are present on the bottom outer edge and a couple small holes with faint wood loss can be seen on the very top of this mold as reflected in image 6.

The grain, color and pineapple design are delicious (no pun intended) and will certainly honor your existing collections offering a fresh look. This mold also lends importance along with exhibiting assertive attributes that will render great decorating results ! Enjoy!
