This is the reason why the Arch of Sinan by ZOYA Istanbul Coffee Cups are sold as a set of two. These pieces are created with an admiration for the 16th century great architect Sinan's work. The unusual way Sinan used and refined classical architectural elements always attracted designer Hülya Öz’s attention. As a native of historic Istanbul, the use of similar forms is an outcome of her visual memory. The porcelain part of the cup may contain some curvatures at the top. Please be aware that the pieces are all handmade. Manufacturing these components using classic materials such as porcelain and glass, represents Öz’s passion for craftsmanship. The fact that there are still many craftsmen and workshops in Istanbul is an opportunity for cooperation that the designer has engaged in formal and technical terms.
