When you need five burners and only have four, this large 11 1/2” inside diameter with vented high dome cover, teflon-coated electric skillet is just what you need. The outside dimensions are 15 1/2" wide from handle to handle by 12" wide from side to end of thermostat receiptable and it stands 7 1/2" from its feet to the top of the black plastic handle on the domed-vented lid. This is the perfect kitchen appliance, especially for holidays or a Sunday family dinner…pull it out when you need it and the removable thermostat makes it easy to store. This Hamilton Beach electric skillet/frying pan, Model HL29-3, is very clean on the inside and outside. It has been tested and it is in good working condition. The removable 1500 watt thermostat (heat controller) goes from warm to 450 degrees and gives suggested cooking temperatures for a variety of items, such as pork, bacon, chops, chicken, hamburger, pancakes, steak, and eggs. No loss of writing and temperatures on the thermostat dial, dial is in Mint Condition. The skillet pan, made of cast aluminum, is an excellent conductor of heat while the domed moulded aluminum lid provides space for cooking items that extend above the skillet pan, such as a roast. The teflon coating in the inside of the pan is in like new condition. Does not appear that this pan has been used much. The lid has a black plastic Lid Holder on the side of the lid; it fits into one of the skillet handles to hold the lid in a standing position when lid is not seated on skillet. The working vent in the lid allows air to be vented to the outside when needed. A 2 3/4" rectangular knob on the top of the lid allows one to remove the lid when hot without the use of hotpads. The two plastic handles and four plastic pedestal legs form two pieces that are very secure and in good condition. The skillet is completely submersible for easy cleaning. It is believed to be from the late 1960s or early 70s. Can be used to serve from a buffet or from the table as legs do not conduct heat. Spots on Teflon coating are not scratches, they are discolorations.
