For this album – that consist of seven pieces – Boddy used and array of classic and modern synth and effects.
The sound of the wind starts this album with “Ionian” along with enveloping melancholic pads, while “Dorian” is based on reverbs and delay that remain hovering into the space. “Lydian” produces a haunting and dark atmosphere that continues in “Mixolydian.” “Aoelian”, which exhibits a sound similar to the organ, seems to be the music of a religious ceremony. “Locrian”, which closes this album, spreads dazzling cosmic arpeggios a la Tangerine Dream (with great influence on Boddy) throughout the environment.
The ambient pieces driven by the creative mind of Ian Boddy invite us to transport ourselves through a journey to unfold our imagination.
