This a new instalment from the prolific trio comprised of Günter Miller (ipod, electronics), Jason Kahn (analog synthesizer) and Norbert Möslang (cracked everyday-electronics).
The CD registers six live recordings of the MKM Mexico and South American tour in the Spring of 2007 (Autumn in the South…) that comprise Argentina, Brazil, Columbia and Chile.
Track 1 taken from the Radar Festival in Mexico is composed by different layers of sounds generators, plus a pulsating repetitive beat while in the background there is a chaotic noise. The second track is a concert that took place at the Cinemateca Distrital in Bogotá, showcase radio airwaves and a tapestry of analog sounds. Track three, recorded at the Centro Cultural de España in Santiago de Chile it’s quieter. Also there are short radio signals and snatches microscopic sounds augmented its tension. Track 4 was performed at the Plano B in Rio de Janeiro unfolds a subtle melody in the background and pulsating mechanic beat. Track 5 recorded at Casa del Pueblo in La Plata, the Capital of Buenos Aires province – the trio produced abstract textures and drones. Track 6  was a concert at the Parada Obrigatoria in Rio de Janeiro has a subtle pulsating rhythm quite hypnotic that hints to techno if its listened carefully.
I had the opportunity to be at their live show in Santiago. Few visits like this one we have over here but fortunately this music is performed by a few local artists.
