Esta es una banda de Georgia que ha tenido varios cambios desde su formación en 2001 y que actualmente comprende a cinco miembros.
“Cryptograms” es su segundo álbum y primero para Kranky. Este es un disco de psico rock que evoca pasajes del garage y también del after-punk por la oscuridad que se escucha en “Lake Somerset”. Me recuerda a las bandas de los ’80 Killing Joke o a The Sound.
La vertiente más expansiva y minimalista del grupo se manifiesta en el magnífico tema “White ink” en el que delays de guitarra van tejiendo distintas capas ambientales, con el contrapunto de bellos acordes.

This is a band from Georgia that has had several changes in its line-up since 2001, that nowadays comprise five members.
Cryptograms is their second album and the first one for Kranky. This is a psyche-rock disc that evokes passages of garage and after-punk by their dark moods that are showcase on Lake Somerset which recalls the 80’s bands Killing Joke or The Sound.
The most expansive and minimalist slope of the group pronounces in the magnificent White ink song in which guitar delays are weaving different environmental layers, with the counterpoint of beautiful chords.
